1 Injured In Glassport Stabbing

GLASSPORT (KDKA) – One person is in custody after allegedly stabbing a man in Glassport Thursday morning.

Investigators were called to the 2500-block of Washington Boulevard just after 9 a.m.

The suspect apparently fled on foot and police have combed a wooded area near a house to look for clues.

Allegheny County Police confirm a 47-year-old male was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

Police say Wayne Cardiff is in custody and is expected to be charged this afternoon.

The Allegheny County Forensic Crime Unit was called to the scene as well as a number of investigators.
