1 Dead After Shooting In Crafton Heights
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a man was found dead following a shooting Thursday night in Crafton Heights.
According to officials, officers were called to the 700-block of Woodlow Street just after 8:45 p.m. for multiple reports of gunshots in the area.
Police found the victim, Shakiem Williams, 41, of New York City, lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet identified him.
Officials at the scene said they are in the very early stages of the investigation.
"We are looking all around the area to see what information and evidence we can gather from this crime scene," said Emily Schaffer, the assistant public information officer for the city's Public Safety Department.
The investigation continues.
