1 Dead After Car Crashes Into Utility Pole In Neshannock Twp.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A 19-year-old man was killed when his car slammed into a utility pole Sunday afternoon in Lawrence County.

The one-vehicle crash happened just after noon in the 3000-block of Wilmington Road in Neshannock Township.

According to police, the victim was headed southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and hit the pole on the driver's side of the vehicle.

The driver, who has not been identified but is from Neshannock Township, had to be pulled out of the car by firefighters and paramedics.

He was taken to Jameson Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Neshannock Township Police are investigating.
