1 Dead, 1 Injured In Somerset County Crash
FRIEDENS (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a two-vehicle crash left one person dead and another injured Saturday afternoon.
According to police, the crash happened in the 1100-block of Geiger Road in Friedens, Somerset County around 6:10 p.m.
A vehicle being driven by Austin Coddington, 21, of Friedens, crossed the center line while negotiating a turn. He was struck head-on by an oncoming vehicle.
Coddington was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, Karrie Smith, 33, of Somerset, was taken to Conemaugh Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
