1 Arrested After Shot Fired Inside Uniontown Home

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) - One person was arrested after a shot was fired inside a Uniontown home early Wednesday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at a home on Loch Lomond Street around 1:30 a.m.

Police said Walter Richardson came home intoxicated and began to argue with his girlfriend.

At one point, he allegedly threatened to harm himself and went into the basement. The woman told police she heard one shot being fired and took her 2-year-old daughter next door to a neighbor's house. At that time, she called police.

Police surrounded the home and they remained outside for 30 minutes before gaining entry. However, Richardson was not inside.

He eventually turned himself in and was brought to the state police barracks for questioning.

There was also a 4-month-old baby upstairs in the house.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
