Celebrating smiles

A smile is a basic and universal form of human communication. But, in the serious world of photojournalism, images of smiles are rare.

A new exhibition highlights smiles captured by the award-winning photographers of the VII collective.

The exhibition, which highlights 85 photos from 30 countries, was commissioned by Arts Brookfield, and will be on view in New York from April 4 to May 1, 2014.
