Young Firefighter's Passion For Giving Lives On After Tragic Accident

ASTON, Pa. (CBS) --  A firefighter's legacy is living on in Delaware County.

Scott Jones, of the Newtown Square Fire Company, was killed in a car accident on Saturday.

Fellow firefighters say this time of year, the 32-year-old would have been collecting holiday toys for children.

In his memory, a collection drive is underway at the firehouse, and people can bring donated toys to his funeral.

Friends say collecting toys is the perfect way to honor Jones because he was all about helping families, especially children in need.

Donations can be made to: Aston Twp. Fire Dept., PO Box 2172, Aston, PA 19014 or Toys for Tots, 601 Kendron Ave., Folsom, PA 19033.
