Yale Crushes Penn 75-48 In Ivy League Action

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Makai scored 14 points and Yale led wire-to-wire in a 75-48 rout of Pennsylvania to maintain a share of first place in the Ivy League on Friday night.

Yale (17-7) raced to a 38-25 lead at the break, knocking down five 3-pointers in the first half, and never looked back to stay even with Harvard at 6-1 in league play.

The Bulldogs shot 54 percent from the floor for the game (27 of 50) and were even better shooting from distance, knocking down 12 of 22 shots from beyond the arc (54.5 percent).

Tony Hicks had 12 points to lead Penn (7-13, 2-4), but was the lone shooter to reach double-figure scoring.

The Quakers were just 16 of 45 from the field for the game (35.6 percent), and 5 of 16 from distance.
