Woodmere Art Museum Showing 'We Speak: Black Artists In Philadelphia, 1920s-1970s'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Woodmere Art Museum is now showing "We Speak: Black Artists in Philadelphia, 1920s-1970s."
Rachel McCay, assistant curator, describes what you'll see.
"There's over 70 works in the exhibition. Paintings, photographs, prints, drawings and sculpture from the five decades that we're focusing on, that explains how the institutions and cultural organizations of Philadelphia supported black artists."
Rachel also talks about how they put the exhibition together.
"We narrowed it down through the curatorial focus, which was analyzing how the institutions and organizations supported black artists. So it was through that focus that we were able to distill the work down to a manageable amount that told interesting stories."
