Woman Shot In The Face And Arm In Her Philadelphia Apartment

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A shooting in Queen Village has left a woman fighting for her life.

Around 10 p.m. Monday night, police say a 32-year-old woman was shot twice in her face and arm at point blank range inside her Philadelphia apartment on 5th Street near Washington Avenue.

She was rushed to the hospital in very critical condition.

Police say the inside of the apartment was a very chaotic scene.

"The first floor, as well as the second floor, there was a sign of a violent struggle," Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small described. "We found furniture overturned, furniture broken, several flat screen TVs pulled from their stands and pulled from the wall in broken condition on the floor."

So far, no arrests have been made. Authorities are considering the victim's live-in boyfriend a person of interest.
