Woman Robbed At Gunpoint At ATM In Northeast Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a woman at gunpoint at an ATM in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident happened at about 11:20 p.m. on November 24th outside the Wells Fargo Bank branch located in the 6600 block of Castor Avenue in the city's Oxford Circle section.

According to investigators, the 57-year-old female victim was attempting to make a deposit at the ATM when she was approached from behind by the suspect.

When the victim turned around, the suspect was pointing a handgun at her and he demanded her money.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and then ran away.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 years-of-age, 5'0″, 140 lbs. He was wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
