Woman Reportedly Punches Male Suspect Who Assaulted Her In Delaware County

HAVERFORD, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Delaware County are searching for a suspect who reportedly assaulted a female in Haverford.

On June 6th around 10:30 p.m., the victim was reportedly walking at Golf Road and Leedom Avenue when a man grabbed her from behind and asked where she was going.

The woman reportedly elbowed the subject in an attempt to get away, and the man then punched her under the left eye.

Police say the victim, who was wearing a ring, managed to punch back at the suspect, striking him in the face area.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early-mid 20s with a medium build. He's about 6'0" tall and was wearing a dark red or maroon hooded shirt that had a large hole in the sleeve near the elbow. He also reportedly smelled of cigarettes.
