Woman Killed In Ogontz House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A woman was killed in a house fire that broke out Saturday night in the Ogontz neighborhood of Philadelphia.

This happened around 8 p.m. at the home located on the 5900 block of Norwood Street.

The fire reportedly started in the kitchen of the home and the victim was said to have been found in the second floor, rear bedroom.

The home reportedly did not have a working smoke detector.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

This is the 12th fatal fire in Philadelphia so far this year.
