Woman Injured In Explosion At Jersey Shore Home

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities say one person was being evaluated at a hospital after an explosion rocked a southern New Jersey home.

But it's not yet known what caused the blast at the two-story home on Sumner Avenue in Seaside Heights, which occurred shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the explosion occurred on the first floor, apparently as some maintenance work was being done at the site. A 26-year-old woman who was upstairs at the time suffered undisclosed minor injuries, but further details were not disclosed.

Authorities say the explosion caused significant damage to the home.
