Police: 21-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With Del. Woman's Death

HOCKESSIN, Del. (CBS) -- Police have charged a 21-year-old man with murder after a 55-year-old woman was found dead inside of her Hockessin, Delaware home.

Police say Christopher Frick is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 55-year-old Caroline Ekong.

Authorities say the woman's body was discovered just before 4 a.m. Wednesday.

According to authorities, early Wednesday morning Frick entered the residence and confronted the victim.  Authorities say a physical altercation occurred when Frick allegedly stabbed the victim numerous times.

Authorities say the suspect later called 911 allegedly claiming responsibility for the crime. Patrol units responded to his location and took him into custody without incident, according to authorities.

Authorities no other suspects are being sought at this time.

Authorities say Frick was charged with Murder in the First degree, Possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, Home Invasion, Burglary in the First Degree, and possession of burglary tools.

He is being held without bail on the murder charge and $143,000 cash bail on the balance of the charges, according to authorities.
