Woman Found Dead On Sidewalk Near Cemetery

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police and the coroner are trying to determine how a woman wound up dead on a sidewalk near a cemetery in Pennsylvania's third-largest city.

The Lehigh County coroner says the woman found dead near the Union & West End Cemetery Saturday evening was 43-year-old Jodi Ann Davis.

Allentown police say they received a call of a woman down on the sidewalk about 6:40 p.m.

Police and the coroner say a man was seen walking with Davis before she was found dead, but left by the time police arrived. They don't know if he was attempting to help her or not.

Assistant police Chief Bill Reinik says the woman had an injury, but says it could have been suffered as she fell to the sidewalk.

The coroner's office planned an autopsy Monday.
