Woman Dead After Being Struck By Vehicle, Attacked With Shovel

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle and then assaulted with a shovel in North Philadelphia.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday near 7th and Loudon Streets in the Logan section of the city.
Police said the woman, believed to be in her 30's, was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she died about an hour later.
Authorities made an arrest, but were still working to determine a motive.
