Woman Charged With Pouring Bleach On Shopper, Baby In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE (CBS) – A woman is behind bars after she allegedly poured bleach on a customer at an area department store earlier this month.

Officials say on Thursday, August 4, around 5:49 p.m. Lataka Mason allegedly poured bleach on a customer's head after an altercation at a Target store, located at 1050 Brandywine Parkway in Wilmington.

At the time, the 24-year-old victim was accompanied by a toddler, who police say was also splashed by the bleach. The toddler is said to be one year old.

Police say Lataka Mason turned herself in to police Tuesday morning. Mason has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
