Wolf Touts Amazon Expansion, Job Creation In Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's governor says Amazon plans to expand in the state and eventually create at least 5,000 new jobs.

Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf announced Thursday that the online retailer will put fulfillment and distribution centers at new locations throughout Pennsylvania, with the first in Northampton County.

The administration says the company will spend at least $150 million and hire people for the new full-time jobs over three years.

The state is giving the company a $5 million grant, $15 million in tax credits and more than $2 million for job training. That money requires Amazon to apply and qualify.
