With Help From Drake, Philly Police Say No To Saving Parking Spots During Winter Storm

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- By now, you've likely heard about the potential monster snow storm headed our way on Friday.

Meteorologists continue to track the forecast, but confidence is growing that it will be one of our biggest winter storms since 2011.

Therefore, Philadelphia Police are putting out a warning in advance to drivers in the city: #NoSavesies

With a little help from Drake, police tweeted: 'Looks like a big #snowstorm is coming. If u see folks saving spots, call us on your cellphone to report #NoSavesies'

The tweet is a play on words using Drake's hit song "Hotline Bling."

If you need to get somewhere where typically there are very few parking spots on the street, it is recommended to use public transportation or parking garages.

As of now, it is looking likely that many locations will measure over a foot of snow by the time this storm wraps up, so if you can, put the keys away this weekend, as driving conditions may not be ideal.
