Wintry Mix Causes Slick And Icy Roads

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A wintry mix of weather made roads slick and icy Saturday morning, before temperatures warmed up.

An early-morning coating of snow was then covered by freezing rain and ice.

Then as the thermometer rose above freezing, plain rain moved in to slowly wash the mess away.

One driver in Blue Bell was here from Florida. He says these conditions are a far cry from those at home.

"This is obviously different, but we're coming home for the holidays to visit family," said the driver.

Reporter: "Do you have to drive differently here than you would on I-4?"

"Yeah, obviously you've got to keep your eye on the road and make sure you don't hit any ice," the driver responded.

That concern waned, as temperatures warmed.
