Arrest Made In Shooting Death Of Community Activist

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a community activist in Philadelphia.

Police say 39-year-old Nelson Giddings has been charged with the murder of 65-year-old Winnie Harris.

Harris was found shot to death inside a second floor bedroom of her home along the 300 block of North Holly Street in West Philadelphia in February.

Harris was the executive director at UC Green, a nonprofit that plants trees and cleans up the community.

Police say Giddings has 15 prior arrests.

He's now facing charges of murder, robbery, burglary and related offenses.
