Wilmington Woman Accused Of Stabbing Man With Kitchen Knife

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — A Wilmington woman is accused of stabbing a man with a kitchen knife during an argument.

Police say 24-year-old Tawanna Gans faces charges including second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities say Gans and a man were arguing in their home Saturday afternoon when she allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed him in the head in front of their 2-year-old child.

The man, whose name was not released, was in serious but stable condition.

No phone listing could immediately be found for Gans. Police say she turned herself in at Wilmington police headquarters.
