Wilmington Theater Among Those Showing Controversial Sony Film 'The Interview'

By John McDevitt

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- An independent theater in Wilmington, Delaware will be among movie houses screening the controversial film, The Interview, on Christmas Day.

"We are hearing very clearly from our customers that they want to see the film," says Penn Ketchum, the owner of Penn Cinema Riverfront in Wilmington. "They feel is though an outsider is controlling what they can or cannot see. I don't want to be over-dramatic about it, but I think it has evolved to a point where it's sort of a sense of American pride in terms of seeing what we want to see and not be told otherwise."

Ketchum tells Eyewitness News that security measures have been adjusted. He wouldn't go into detail, but says special precautions are being taken.

Sony Pictures made the film available for rent and purchase online on Wednesday.
