Wildwoods Convention Center Named Top In Nation

WILDWOOD, N.J.,  (CBS) – The nation's top pick for sporting events has been named and once again it's a place not too far, far away.

Known as a hot spot for the summer, the Wildwoods has received the honor of being a Readers Choice Award winner for its top notch Convention Center by SportsEvent Media Group, publisher of SportsEvents magazine.

The magazine works with sports planners in producing sporting events throughout the nation.

"We are pleased to once again be named a winner of SportsEvents Magazine's Readers Choice Awards and grateful to continually be recognized for the hard work and dedication of our Convention Center staff, along with all of our supporting partners, who have helped make the Wildwoods Convention Center a premiere sports destination venue," said John Siciliano, executive director for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA).

Sitting atop one of America's greatest beaches, the Convention Center is just one part of the Wildwoods experience for many event goers.

"Not only is the Convention Center a world-class venue, anyone who attends a sporting event there can partake of what our city has to offer," said the mayor. "Our beach, Boardwalk, hotels, restaurants and entertainment all enhance a visit to the Convention Center."
