White House's Official Christmas Tree Will Be From Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON (CBS) -- A tree from Pennsylvania will make the trip to Washington, D.C. next month to become one of the White House Christmas trees. The 22-foot, 16-year-old Douglas Fir is from Mahantongo Valley Farms in Northumberland County.

The tree will be in the Blue Room, and will be known as the White House's official Christmas tree.

It's traditionally trimmed by the first lady.
