White Horse Road Bridge Opens To Traffic Tomorrow

LINDENWOLD, NJ (CBS) -- Good news for Camden County drivers: The White Horse Road Bridge over the PATCO tracks in Lindenwold, New Jersey will open to all traffic tomorrow at 6 a.m.

Officials say there will be no weight or truck restrictions and all three lanes will be open.

The bridge had been closed to drivers after inspectors noted a pair of failed girders under the span caused the road to dip more than it should.

Camden County freeholder Ian Leonard says, "This vital span will be safely reopened to traffic while a new bridge is being designed by our engineers. The repairs that we completed have stabilized the span so it can be used while the design for a full replacement continues over the next year."

Engineers are working with KSE Engineers to design a new span.
