Wet Weather Causes Flight Delays At Philadelphia International Airport

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The wet weather was slowing things down on Sunday at Philadelphia International Airport.

Some arriving flights were delayed more than two hours because a traffic management program was in effect.

Some departures were also affected, especially for flights headed to Newark and JFK airports, which were reporting average delays of more than two hours. Planes leaving for LaGuardia Airport were averaging delays of less than an hour.

Travelers were urged to check with their airline or the airport at 1-800-PHL-GATE or PHL.org for information about a specific flight.
