West Chester Teacher Allegedly Caught Getting Physical With 17-Year-Old Student In Parked Car
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) – A Chester County teacher has been charged with institutional sexual assault after police allegedly found her in a compromising position with a 17-year-old male.
According to police, a resident of the 1400 block of Scenic Drive in East Bradford Township called police about a suspicious vehicle on July 1, 2015 around 8:20 p.m.
That resident told police a male and female appeared to be having an intimate encounter inside the car, which was in front of the caller's home.
West Chester police officers identified 31-year-old Katie Cross and the teen as the occupants of the car. Cross reportedly told police she was the underage male's teacher at Collegium Charter School in Exton, Pa.
The teen allegedly told police he and Cross had had a relationship since February of 2015.
He also told police he and Cross had kissed in her classroom several times prior to the start of the school day.
Cross is now facing charges of institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and related offenses.
