Weekend Cold Blast

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Friday will be another seasonable day, but big changes are on the way.

A few showers scooted across Pennsylvania this morning, but fizzled out as they approached the Delaware Valley. Clouds will soon give way to sunshine by the late morning. Coupled with highs in the mid to upper 60s, it will make for a decent end to the work week.

Another cold front not far behind will cross through to start the weekend, knocking highs both days into the 50s.

Not chilly enough for you? Lows Sunday and Monday morning will only be in the mid to upper 30s, with even some 20s likely to pop up to the north!

They haven't been issued yet, but keep an eye out for frost/freeze advisories to appear at some point over the next 24 hours. At least we will see some sunshine though.

Break out that heavier clothing!
