Weekend Box Office Report: Moviegoers Welcome 'Home'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There was no place like Home at multiplexes over the weekend.
Home, the animated science fiction comedy, earned an estimated, robust $54-million on its debut weekend.
That put it ahead of Get Hard, the comedy teaming Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart, which placed second with a healthy $35-million.
Dropping to third was last weekend's leader, Insurgent, which took in $22-million.
And fourth was another holdover, Cinderella, with $18-million..
Overall, industry-wide totals were ahead of last year's pace and should get an additional boost next weekend when the action sequel Furious 7 opens.
