Weekend Box Office Report: Batman V. Superman Continues To Fly High

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Those iconic superheroes continue to pack 'em in. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice took in another estimated $52-million in its second weekend of release, making it two commanding first-place finishes in a row and pushing its cumulative take over the $250-million mark.

The holdover animated hit, Zootopia, was the runner-up, earning another $20-million. Rounding out the top five were the sequels, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 with $11-million and God's Not Dead 2 with $8-million, and The Holdover, Miracles from Heaven, with $7-million.

Overall, industry-wide totals were modest compared to those of last weekend or the counterpart weekend last year.
