Week 4 DFS Advice

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Last week we told you about Joseph Randle, LeGarrette Blount, Frank Gore, and Devonta Freeman at running back. Any of those two should have propelled you into the green last week.

Me? Nah, I still lost. It's a cruel game we play, in a cruel world we live.

Here is my Week 4 advice.

Andrew Porter on the Pulse Of Philly's DFS Podcast:

QB Plays (Price: DraftKings / FanDuel)

Andrew Luck (7800 /9100): It's his turn, bum shoulder and all. Andrew Luck is too good of a player. It's breakout time at home vs. the Jags. If not now, then when?

UPDATE: Monitor his injury situation and Luck looks like he could be in danger of missing Sunday's game.

QB Fade

Andy Dalton (5900/7600): Everyone and their bubbie loves Dalton, who ridiculously has 8 TD's / 1 INT's on the season. This week he's home against Kansas City and their banged up secondary, so Dalton's ownership will be high. Too high. I'm not buying into him. Aaron Rodgers can avoid that Chiefs pass rush because he's Aaron Rodgers. Andy Dalton will throw interceptions because he's Andy Dalton.

RB Plays

Matt Forte (7100/8300): I like Forte better in DraftKings because of the PPR format, but I think he's ready to breakout here. With Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffrey banged up, Forte is the security blanket at home vs. Oakland. He's as safe a bet as it gets for 20 points in DraftKings.

Melvin Gordon (4900/6800): We always try to predict the next breakout player of the week. Well, it's your turn Melvin! Gordon has been Chargers' workhorse and red zone back, but has yet to find the end zone. He has a favorable matchup this week at home vs. a suspect Browns run defense.

Karlos Williams (3400/6300): How can you not? He's the starting running back at home against the Giants and he's dirt cheap. In line for 20-plus touches. Everyone will have him, but I wouldn't bet against him.

RB Tourney Plays

Carlos Hyde (5100/7400): No one will be using Hyde, or anyone from the 49ers offense really, this week at home vs. Green Bay. But I don't like to predict game flow and for Hyde's price, he's too talented not to take a flier in a big tourney. That offense has to run through Hyde.

WR Plays

Odell Beckham Jr. (9100/9100): A stud WR with low ownership because everyone is scared of the Bills' defense. Beckham has a touchdown in each of his last two games, but has yet to blow up for the big ODB game. This might be the week. Victor Cruz, out again.

Donte Moncrief (5000/6300): Stacking Luck with Moncrief because they're playing the Jags and I think this is their week. Moncrief is incredibly undervalued, averaging over eight targets per game. T.Y. Hilton is certainly a solid play as well, but Moncrief is the value.

WR Fade

Allen Robinson (5500/6500): Vonte Davis will be on Robinson. Potential for garbage time points sure, but I'm not predicting game flow and you shouldn't either.

TE Plays

Martellus Bennett (4500/5500): The Raiders are atrocious against the tight end. No Cutler and/or no Jeffrey increase Bennett's value even more.

DEF Plays

Arizona (3400/5000): Two words: Nick Foles

Eagles (2700/4500): Why not? They're cheap. They create turnovers. And they're playing Kirk Cousins in a potentially rainy, windy game.
