Wednesday's Child: Dahsiyoni

By Larry Kane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  "I'm smart, I'm funny, I'm shy," is how 13-year-old Dahsiyoni describes herself.

In a recent conversation with Gloria Hochman of the Philadelphia-based National Adoption Center, Dahsiyoni said she wants to be a writer.

"I like to write stories and stuff," she said.  "I read mystery books -- I like to read the Nancy Drew series."

(Gloria Hochman:)  "Wow, when I was growing up I wanted to be Nancy Drew. What do you think you might want to be when you grow up?"

(Dahsiyoni:)   "An author."

This budding artist might even have a career in fashion.  But first, she says, she wants a forever family who can help her reach her goals.
