Philadelphia Weather: Frigid Air, Gusty Winds Attack Tri-State Area Following Snowstorm
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Gusty winds and frigid temperatures are now the focus after Friday morning's snowstorm leaves the area. All watches and warnings expired at 10 a.m.
Wind chills will stay in the teens through the afternoon and tumble into the 10s and single digits Friday night.
That brutal cold lasts until Saturday morning when sunshine takes over. Sunday starts with a chance for freezing rain, but temperatures will gradually climb back into the 40s.
That's ahead of another cold snap coming at the beginning of next week.
The snowstorm left its mark on the area. As of 7 a.m. Friday, snow totals in parts of the tri-state area sat around six inches.
In Delaware, Smyrna saw 4 inches, with 4.2 inches falling at the Smyrna Airport.
South Jersey saw some higher totals, with Shamong in Burlington County getting half a foot of snow. Berlin in Camden County and Malaga in Gloucester County also saw 6 inches.
Bucks County had some of the highest totals in Pennsylvania, with both Doylestown and Levittown getting 4.9 inches.
