Weather: Mild In The Delaware Valley

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- As we hit the midway point of December, all is starting off tranquil in the Delaware Valley - and even a little mild, as Monday mornings in December go.

Clouds will eventually give way to some sunshine this afternoon, but it will then disappear tonight just as quickly as it came, as a minor system will bring a few showers for Tuesday. Fortunately, many of us will also get in on a modest warming trend through midweek; highs will approach 50 on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Once that weak front moves through Tuesday night into Wednesday, the sun will come back and stick around through the end of the work week. As what aims to be a relatively quiet week comes to a close, a potential storm could bring some rain and snow back into the picture later this coming weekend.

Stay tuned to your Eyewitness Weather team as we continue to monitor the situation.
