Mild temperatures coming Thursday, perfectly timed for Phillies' Opening Day | NEXT Weather

Clouds are thickening in the Philadelphia area on Wednesday, but keep your sunglasses handy as brighter skies return for the evening drive home. Temps will be seasonably mild in the afternoon with highs in the mid-50s. 

While there's no chance of rain Wednesday, keep the umbrella nearby as we are tracking some showers on Thursday and rain and storms on Friday.

Weather forecast for the Phillies' home opener

Thursday, the Philadelphia Phillies begin the season at home vs. the Texas Rangers.

There should be some sun into the afternoon, but we can't rule out the chance of a shower at first pitch. Chances are about 20% at this point.

It should be around 72 degrees when the game begins at 4:15 p.m.

Skies will be cloudy with temperatures near 60 at the final out.
