Cooler weather around Philadelphia with a few passing showers Thursday morning. Here's the forecast.

Temperature roller coaster will bring us back up to the 70s-80s heading into the weekend

The change in temperatures will be dramatic after a record-setting 84 degrees on Wednesday in the Philadelphia region. We're going from shorts and T-shirts to needing the light coat on Thursday, with afternoon temps only in the upper 40s and low 50s.

The storms from last night have cleared the coast, but a few passing showers will continue to move across the area through the first part of the morning. Otherwise, plan on a cloudy and much cooler day that will end up being more than 30 degrees cooler than Wednesday afternoon.

Cloudy skies will be the rule, along with a general dampness to the air and ground. It'll remain mainly dry Thursday night, but still cloudy and cool with lows in the middle 40s.

NEXT big weather changes

The temperature roller coaster ride continues Friday. After we get off to another cloudy and cool start, temps rebound to near 80 degrees with increasing afternoon sun.

We'll make another run at record-breaking temps on Saturday in the low 80s with a small chance of a few pop-up afternoon showers.

Another cold front will push through the area on Easter Sunday, bringing rain and much cooler temperatures than Saturday. With the way things are looking, it will be a much better day on Saturday to plan your egg hunts outside.

Next week, we'll be back to more normal highs for this time of year, which are upper 50s and low 60s.
