WEATHER BLOG: Warmer & More Humid This Week

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The first official weekend of summer has been very pleasant with high temperatures in the upper 70s on Saturday and low 80s on Sunday, with low humidity levels both days.

The high pressure systems that brought the comfortable conditions will begin to move out of the region early this week.

Southerly winds will return on Monday with sun & clouds with high temperatures near average in the mid 80s.  Humidity levels still remain on the pleasant side during the day on Monday.

You will really feel the difference on Tuesday, as a stronger southerly flow brings in higher humidity levels with temperatures again in the mid 80s.

The humid air mass will remain in place on Wednesday with a cold front approaching the region.  This will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and at night, as the front moves through.

Drier weather will then return for the end of the week.
