WEATHER BLOG: Pleasant Easter Weekend

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Milder temperatures returned to the Delaware Valley on Saturday with sunshine and highs in the upper 60s, a few degrees above average.

Expect some high cirrus clouds around Saturday night and Sunday as a low pressure system moves through the southeastern U.S. High pressure will situate itself over the Northeast on Easter Sunday keeping the forecast dry. An easterly breeze off the ocean will kick up on Sunday keeping coastal temperatures cooler in the 50s and inland temperatures very pleasant in the low to mid 60s.

Milder temperatures are expected for Monday and Tuesday, ahead of the next cold front.  Highs on Monday will reach the upper 60s with sunshine.  Our warmest day of the upcoming week will be on Tuesday as highs reach the lower 70s.  However, there will be a chance of showers Tuesday afternoon as a cold front moves through.

Have a great Easter!

Justin
