PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Through yesterday, Philadelphia has only seen 10 days at or above 90°, which is slightly below average. That is going to change soon.

If you enjoyed the comfortable feel of Thursday, then you'll want to savor today as well, because it won't last. Friday will feature mostly sunny skies, warm temperatures, and low humidity, another great day all-around!

Come tomorrow, the heat and humidity return. Neither weekend day will be a washout, but there will be thunderstorms around, with the greater threat coming on Saturday.

Highs in the 90s are also expected both days, spiking to 95 on Sunday, which will feel more like 100 when you factor in the heat index!

It will be a great weekend to head down the shore to catch some relief. By the start of next week, Philadelphia will likely be dealing with another heat wave.
