WEATHER: A Beautiful Columbus Day

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- For those of you that have off for Columbus Day, you couldn't have asked for a nicer one!

It was a chilly start this morning -- 40s in many spots -- but temperatures are rebounding nicely now, and highs will soar into the 70s by this afternoon. A pair of fairly weak fronts will be paying the Delaware Valley a visit this week, the first tomorrow and the next on Friday. Tuesday will feature more clouds and scattered showers, but there will likely be a few sunny breaks as well. The front will allow temperatures to 'fall' back to fall-like for the midweek, but Friday's cold front will drop them even further...into the 50's by the weekend!
