Ways To Give This Holiday Season
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- This is the time of year when we think about giving to those in need.
When you only have a little to spend, choose your charity wisely, make sure the group spends more on those in need than those in management. Mike Falco of Falco Wealth Management in Berwyn says you can also give things.
"You can do some winter cleaning, you don't have to give cash, give clothing, books, toys, furniture, you can give just about anything," Falco said. "You want to make sure you take photos and document what you're giving if you do that and always get a receipt."
The receipt comes in handy when doing your taxes. He suggests if you love animals, give pet food to the local shelter. If spending money is a problem, donate your time and skills, that won't cost a thing.
