Water Pipe Burst Causes Tense Moments At HUP

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Emergency crews responded to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Thursday after a pipe burst near the emergency room.

The pipe burst happened at about 12:15 p.m., causing water to leak into a hallway near patient care rooms and the emergency room.

HUP officials say the water didn't reach the ER or patient care rooms and no patients were impacted.

The water has since been turned off and cleanup is underway.
