Water Main Break Shoots Water Into Air In Montgomery County

CHELTENHAM, Pa. (CBS) -- Aqua America officials say water service has been restored following a water main break that created geyser in Montgomery County.

Chopper 3 was over the scene Wednesday of the water main break on the 600 block of Ashbourne Road near Rolling Green in Cheltenham, where water could be seen shooting dozens of feet into the air.

Officials say police were cleared from the scene, but crews continued working to fix the issue.

Officials say 10 homes were affected, and water service was restored around 8 p.m. They say road repairs are still expected to be completed around midnight.
