Water Main Breaks In King Of Prussia, Geyser Shoots Into Air

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) -- A water main break in King Of Prussia Thursday morning sent a geyser of water into the air.

The water main broke near 8th Avenue and Moore Street, around 8:30 a.m. Officials say it happened after a rotted connection in a service line burst.

Water could be seen shooting into the sky for miles.

Aqua water is replacing about 4,400 feet of deteriorated pipes between 1st Avenue and Old Valley Forge Road, but it burst before the work reached that location.

The water company says no customers were affected. They say the busted line was connected to an abandoned building so water service stayed on for all customers throughout the incident.
