Water Main Break In Kennett Square Leaves Homes, Businesses Without Water

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (CBS) -- A water main break in Kennett Square, Chester County had residents and businesses there without water Sunday.

The break happened late Saturday evening in the 200 block of East South Street.

As a result of the leak, several neighborhoods in the Borough were completely without water.

Crews were working to repair the break.

Officials said there were no signs of contamination. However, as a precaution, all residents and businesses were being urged to boil the water before drinking it.

According to officials, the Borough needs two days of negative contamination tests before the recommendation can be lifted.

Residents can find more information on the Borough's website.
