Philly DA's office working closely with U.S. Attorney's Office over rising number carjacking

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner says his office is working closely with the U.S. Attorney's Office about the rising number of carjackings in the city. He made the comments Monday morning during his weekly news conference. 

There have been more than 1,000 carjacking reports this year, including attempted carjackings. That is more than double the pace of last year. 

Krasner said this is a topic of "steady conversation" with the U.S. Attorney's Office.
