WATCH: Iverson Explains Why He Made Documentary, For 'People Who've Stuck With Me'

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- If you're a Philadelphia sports fan and haven't seen the Showtime documentary 'Iverson,' then I have no idea what you're doing.

The documentary was a 90-minute thrill ride, re-living the ups and downs of Allen Iverson's life. You will learn new things, see exclusive footage, and hold back tears watching Iverson captivate our city.

"Al [Morganti], I've been promoting a lot of documentaries lately," Angelo Cataldi said Monday on the 94WIP Morning Show. "This is the best one I've seen. The whole thing, it's the 90-best minute you will have this week."

Iverson explained why he did the documentary on Derek Jeter's Players Tribune blog.

"That's why I'm coming out with this documentary," Iverson wrote. "I wanted to make it for the people who've stuck with me, the fans who've supported me all this time and especially the kids that look up to me and admire me. This is for you."
