BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- Dramatic video from Ocean County shows a forest fire from earlier this week. Video taken from the backyard of a Brick Township police officer shows the flames creep closer to a home.
This is video from a backyard camera from one of our Officers' homes on the day of the fire. He lives in Brick Lake Park. Once again, the emergency responders who worked around the clock to fight this fire deserved the highest praise and commendations.

Eventually, the ground caught fire.
Thankfully, the home was spared.
The forest fire scorched a total of about 170 acres.
